Scoots all packed up, route planned out and a full tank of petrol, so off I set, 15 miles later oops! 1 broken down baby, now lets see if the AA can get to me and get me home so I can get the back up ready for the long journey down south, 5 and a bit hrs later and ive got there, my trusty old lambi ts1 has not let me down, in fact I'm seriously thinking of selling the gts (any takers?).

Parked up and ive got my keys for my digs (well its got a bed and a bog) what more do you want!, meet up with the usual suspects and head off to the bar, well long journey, what do you expect, I had to wash the flies down(well that's my excuse), once the beer had started to flow my thoughts had soon disappeared on the reasons why I had travelled down from Carlisle to Camber Sands in the South, then it soon became apparent! I like it, I like the travelling, the mates you meet up with and the beer, the scoots came in there somewhere after the beer, Friday nights festivities soon came and went( more beer) and then it was Saturday to look forward to, again meeting up with the usual suspects and scoring the breakfast, cambers breakfast scored a measly (4) to greasy and not enough of it, is it me or do southerners not know what a fry up is all about?

After a stroll around Pontin`s looking at the scooters and looking like a regular from a convention of train spotters, I started taking the all to familiar photographs of anything that took my fancy, and there was enough of that? It seems the guys down south like the mod style scooters, not that ive got anything wrong with that but god how bloody Christmas trees can you look at? ( answers on a post card please) only joking guys! We had a right laugh at the guy we saw parking up his van to bring out his pride and joy for it not to kick up, seems he forgot to put petrol in it, it helps that, putting in petrol, someone told me you need to put petrol in for it to work, new one on me, You know who you are! Why own a scooter put it in a van then take it on the rally and forget to put any petrol in it, now this is the best bit, this guy only travelled from London (madness son ) try riding the bloody thing , after all that's what they were made for!

Anyway back to the plot, the rally, we decided that we would go out on the rideout that was planned, so we decided to lay off the sauce until we had come back "someone told me it was against the law" again learn something new every day, the rideout that was planned went well, the ts1 was itching to go and she didn't disappoint neither did the rideout, the weather was really nice and the turn out was excellent, well planned and a good turn out, the guys did good, there was some nice scoots knocking about especially the ts1(63) that took my fancy and a really tasty vespa, plus the lambretta "snatch"(there seems to be a couple of custom scooters based on this theme, there was a nice lookin black series 2 that caught my eye as well as a lambi called "apple of my eye", the list goes on and on and on(ariston) anyway quick spin out and we headed back to pontin`s,where we soon discovered that the flies had to be washed down again, it was a trip back to the digs, quick shower and dressed up for the night time festivities( even put on deodorant and after shave) out to impress, I think so!

The night time do was good, really impressed with the music, catered for all tastes, not the usual, slit your wrist northern all night, not that's theres anything wrong with northern soul music (I'm a northerner and theres nothin wrong with me!) but come on, when will organisers realise you don't have to play it all night, now my moaning is done its back to the plot!

As ive already mentioned the guys that organise this event put on a good show, its well planned out, the place is clean and tidy, well at least I thought so, at least I didn't see anyone handing out mops and buckets at the gates(isle of wight to come yet) this is one rally that isnt a rally to far, I for one will definitely be looking forward to next years visit, and as for the ride back home, well lets say it took me a lot longer getting home than it did me getting to the rally( toilet stops) some of you will know what I mean (dodgy rat meat!)
