Have
you heard of the Gorehounds no well you have now. There a small
run club based n Striling Scotland. They were formedand established
way back in 1982
The
Gorehounds was resurrected in September 2006 by Hector who started
the original club in 1982. The choice was to get away from the
name of the club being attached to a Town/city, as Stirling
Scooter Club which most were members off. This enables us to
attract members from all over Central region without alienating
them. Our aims are to be a friendly structured Club that will
attend the various rallies throughout the season. The Gorehounds
SC Glasgow have been keeping the club name going when it ceased
to exist in its hometown of Stirling and many thanks goes to
Gordie & Phil.
On
15th to 17th August the Gorehounds held their own rally calling
it the Stirling scooter rally. Which was held in Cambusbarron
just outside strirling city centre.
Prior to their first rally ISANET have made close ties to the
Gorehounds after we made links and placed articles on the ISANET
magazine.
ISANET
had a personal invite up to the rally so on the day of the rally
I made the long journey north of the border and see what the
Gorehounds were all about. The journey took me 7 hours in total
that was down to traffic and breaks along the way.
When
I arrived I was greeted by Hector the club no.1 and also met
Gary and Alleena (The Diva) Coupe.
One
article which ISANET placed on the mag was a fitting tribute
to one of the founding members who sadly passed away George
Bolton. After the Gorehounds held a charity night in memory
of George they donated all monies raised to a charity called
Braveheart helping people with heart problems so on this I personally
donated 80 cds to the Gorehounds to raise money for the Braveheart
charity at the rally. Which went down a storm with all the scooter
scounds . entitled Braveheart scooter sounds.
Just
outside Of Cambusbarron is the great battlefield of Bannock
Burn Where the mighty Bruce defeated the English (oooouchhh)
that hurt anyway moving on you also have Wallace up there to
along with the famous Stirling castle. Stirling is packed with
history and well worth a vist Bannock Burn is only 10 minutes
from the rally site so off I went to take a look.
Friday
night had Fat Panda playing a local SKA band who got the floor
rocking nice one guys, they did cover versions and their own
songs as well, Followed by Honour Kills a young group that plays
big and are in the Punk Scene playing the Sex Pistols etc.
On
the Friday night ISANET also donated a Salver to the Gorehounds
for Best in show at the Custom show in memory of George Bolton
our wishes were respected and the Salver was not to be won out
right it would stay with Geroges wife Lavina until next year.
The Club decided to engrave the winners on the back of the Salver.
Nice one guys after the salver was presented I led the venue
in a toast to welcome the salver into the club which was washed
down with Scotlands finest . well Friday finished around 1am.

I

by the Gorehounds that Saturday went down even better as more
