This
was a night put on by two lads from our scooter club who have
recently set up dj ing known as Rocket Dog FM,this was to
be there first big night so as with most new set up's the
question was will it be a hit or not with the public?
They booked the venue in advance and booked tamworth's well
known mod band the pinch,so it was now down to the night in
question,we arrived there at 8.00pm and there were already
a fair few people there enjoying some well know sounds being
played by simon and dave known as (Rocket Dog Fm) which was
getting them onto the dance floor, always a good start to
a night.
As the first hour ticked by the room was filling up not only
with some people from our scooter club but the general public
which was a good sign for simon and dave the bar was busy
so all was in full swing, after there first stint on the decks
it was time for our local mod band the pinch to take to the
stage, these guys have been around for a while so a good set
from them was inevitable as carried on from the set by rocket
dog fm the dance floor was still full, these guys do a two
part set and you get a good variety of 60's tunes+ a few jam
tracks.
The time soon passed by and it was now time for The Pinch's
last track of the night but as usual they played three more
well worth a booking,so with out delay it was back to simon
and dave of Rocket Dog FM to continue where the left off and
that they did with a excellent northern soul set, followed
by various ska tracks and so on,the dance floor was full right
till the end so not only a good night for the public but a
excellent turn out for simon and dave well done you guy's.
