The
VMSC show was upon us once again ,and I have to say I was really
looking forward to the event, not only because we had our own
stand on display, but its the one show where you are guaranteed
to see new custom scooters on display, and judging by what was
on display for the first outing I was not disappointed!
The show has to be one of the best organized events on the calendar,
plenty of scooters and an abundance of scooter dealers, selling
everything from tyres to bling, what ever you want these guys
have it! And the one thing I do like at these events is that
you can grab yourself a right old bargain to get you back on
the road, who says competition aint nothin!
The scoots on display were some of the best ive seen for a long
time, Memphis belle never disappoints, the artwork on that scooter
is unbelievable, then off course there was the pair of custom
lambretta scooters owned by the same chap on display one of
which was on its first outing based on the movie "scum",
the one scooter that was on display that was getting all the
attention was the wolverhampton wanderers football themed vespa
cutdown, one thing that was noticeable was the absence of the
luna owners club that was proudly represented at last years
event! One of my favourites at the show had to be the lambretta
named "menace" a fantastic looking scooter, I'm sure
this scooter will be a favourite with scooterists that like
the 80`s style customs that seem to be making a come back, I
could go on and on with the amount of fine scooters that were
on display, not just inside the hall but outside to, one in
particular a rather nice "flamed" up GP lambretta
which in its own right should have been entered inside the show.
What ever your taste this event has it all, from full blown
customs to choppers, cutdowns and last but not least the vintage
scooters that were displayed were truly amazing, to think how
old these machines are, it beggars belief that these machines
were made in their thousands in the day, and to think that there
are only so many examples of some of these makes left today,
you have to take your hat of to the guys who find these scooters
and restore them back to their former glory, the moto rumi scooter
owners display was very nice to see, as was the triumph and
bsa scooters, a lot of people put a lot of hard work not just
into customization but restoration, as well as the guys that
race scooters as a sport, the BSSO do a lot of hard work, but
un fortunately this is often over looked by scooterists in general,
we at ISANET will be high lighting the sport in the magazine
this year, so keep an eye out for all the latest news on the
BSSO, the machines and riders, they really could do with support
for all their hard work and endeavors.
Well after yet another well organised and attended custom show
not just in numbers of people that attended the event but also
in the fine display of scooters that were on show, its a big
thumbs up to all at the VMSC for another great day out, we would
also like to say a big thank you to Steve at inter scooters
for letting us have one of his race scooters on display at our
stall at the event and everyone else who has supported us so
far, we look forward to your continued help and support!
